What if I need to cancel or reschedule? β
Life happens! Just let me know at least 24 hours before your session and we can reschedule at no extra charge. Cancellations within 24 hours may not be eligible for a refund.
Is peer support actually confidential? β
Absolutely. What you share in a support session stays between us β always. I am not a therapist and this is not a clinical service, but your privacy matters and I treat it with complete respect.

The full CV and personal statement is delivered within 48 hours of receiving your details. You also get one free revision if you want anything tweaked after delivery.
Can I mix subjects in one session? β
Yes! Especially with the monthly bundle β you can mix any services across your 4 sessions. One maths, one English, one CV help and one support session? Absolutely fine.
I am not in Lagos β can I still book? β

5 Algebra Tricks That Will Change How You Study Maths

Most students make algebra harder than it needs to be. The truth is, once you understand a few core tricks, everything starts to fall into place.
1. Always do the same thing to both sides
The golden rule of algebra. Whatever you do to the left side of the equation, you MUST do to the right. Add 5 to one side? Add 5 to the other. Divide by 2? Divide both sides. Simple as that.
2. Move terms by doing the opposite operation
If something is being added, subtract it to move it. If something is being multiplied, divide it. This is how you "move" numbers from one side to the other without breaking the equation.
3. Collect like terms first
Before doing anything else, group all your x terms together and all your number terms together. It makes the equation cleaner and much easier to solve.
4. For factorisation β find two numbers that multiply AND add
For xΒ² + bx + c, you need two numbers that multiply to give you c AND add to give you b. Write out the factor pairs of c and check which pair adds up to b. Once you see it, it becomes automatic.
5. Check your answer by substituting back in
Once you find x, put it back into the original equation and see if both sides equal each other. This takes 10 seconds and saves you from losing marks on silly errors.

There is a common belief that venting β talking about your problems out loud β is just complaining. But science actually disagrees. Expressing your feelings has real, measurable benefits for your mental and emotional health.
It releases emotional pressure
Think of your emotions like a pressure cooker. When you keep everything bottled up, the pressure builds. Venting is like releasing that valve β it does not fix the problem, but it makes the pressure manageable so you can actually think clearly.
It helps you process what you actually feel
Sometimes we do not fully understand our own emotions until we try to put them into words. Speaking out loud forces your brain to organise your thoughts, and in doing so, you often gain clarity about what is actually bothering you.
It reduces cortisol levels
Cortisol is the stress hormone. Research shows that expressing emotions β especially in a safe, supportive environment β actually lowers cortisol levels in the body. Your body physically relaxes when you feel heard.
The key is the listener
Venting to the right person matters enormously. A good listener does not interrupt, does not judge, does not immediately try to fix things. They just listen and validate. That validation β feeling like your experience is real and your feelings make sense β is incredibly healing.
It is not weakness. It is intelligence.

The Personal Statement Mistake 90% of Students Make

Your personal statement is the most important part of your university application. Your grades get you considered β your personal statement gets you accepted. And yet most students make the same critical mistake.
The mistake: starting with "I have always been passionate about..."
Admissions officers read thousands of personal statements. The ones that start with "I have always been passionate about medicine/law/engineering" are immediately forgettable. It is the most common opening line in existence and it tells the reader absolutely nothing unique about you.
What to do instead: start with a story or a moment
Think of one specific moment that genuinely sparked your interest in your subject. Not a vague "I have always loved science" β a real, specific moment. The day you understood how a chemical reaction worked. The time you read a case study that changed your view. The conversation that made you realise this was your path.
That specificity is what makes admissions officers sit up and keep reading.
The three things every great personal statement does
1. Shows genuine interest β not just that you like the subject, but WHY. What have you read, done or experienced that proves this interest is real?
2. Demonstrates relevant skills β through extracurricular activities, work experience, or personal projects. What have you actually done that relates to your chosen course?
3. Connects your past to your future β why this course, at this point in your life? What do you hope to do with it? Admissions teams want to see that you have thought beyond just "getting in."
How long should it be?
Most personal statements have a character limit of around 4,000 characters. Use every single one. A short personal statement suggests you do not have much to say about yourself.

How to Study for 2 Hours and Remember More Than Someone Who Studied for 6

Here is something most students never figure out: studying for longer does not mean learning more. In fact, passive studying for 6 hours can actually be less effective than focused active studying for 2. Here is the method that changes everything.
The problem with re-reading
Most students study by reading their notes over and over again. This feels productive because it is familiar and comfortable. But familiarity is not the same as memory. You can read something 10 times and still not be able to recall it in an exam.
Active Recall: the most powerful study technique
Instead of reading your notes, close them and try to write down everything you remember from memory. This forces your brain to actually retrieve the information rather than just recognise it. Retrieval practice strengthens memory pathways far more than passive reading ever could.
How to do it: read a topic once, close your notes, then write or say out loud everything you can remember. Check what you missed, then test yourself again tomorrow.
The Pomodoro Technique: protect your focus
Your brain cannot focus effectively for hours at a time. The Pomodoro Technique works with your natural attention span: 25 minutes of deep focus, then a 5 minute break. Repeat 4 times, then take a longer break. This keeps your brain fresh and prevents the kind of unfocused reading that wastes time.
Spaced Repetition: review at the right times
The timing of your revision matters as much as the method. Review material after 1 day, then after 3 days, then after a week, then before your exam. This spacing forces your brain to work harder to retrieve the information each time β and that effort is what builds lasting memory.
Combine all three
Use Pomodoro sessions to study in focused bursts. Use active recall instead of re-reading. Space your revision sessions strategically. Two hours of this beats six hours of passive reading every single time.
